I choose to make this a great week.

Why I run

I love to run. I raced competitively through junior high, high school, and college. More than a decade later and I'm still running.

I started out as a sprinter and made the transition to distance runner over time.
Running makes me happy. Running is my stress reliever. Running helps me be goal-oriented and optimistic.

I guess I'm a workout freak. On weekdays I workout twice a day and am constantly training for the next big race.

It has never been about being skinny or losing weight. It's always been about feeling good about myself and having a positive mind-set. But I don't mind the added benefit!

Running makes me feel like I can conquer the world.
